| I like this graphic better than the one in the article because this one attempts to picture Earth's elliptical orbit (not to scale, of course). It shows that the difference between winter and summer is not because of Earth's distance from the Sun. Rather, it is because of the angle of Sunlight due to the tilt of Earth's axis. |
