Good Vibes Only

Waning Crescent Moon

July has been a strange month, with forlorn happenings that yanked me out of what had been a long, pleasant period of positivity and happiness. Life, however, is for the living and as hard as it may be from time to time, the task at hand is to focus on now, stay here in the unfolding mystery, on one step, on this step, and keep going.

In two days, I will fire up Spugly the Spectacularly Ugly Palomino Transporter and travel east to Kings Canyon National Park for four nights on the ground and four days of big trees, big rocks, big skies, and hopefully big flows in the South Fork of the Kings River. My camp near the river will be less than a mile from Roads End, a jumping off point for some of the most wonderful scenery in the central Sierra Nevada. No doubt the elevation will kick my sea level booty the first two days, but I will persist.

Four days off the grid, unplugged and untubed, should renew my psyche and provide fresh views for my mind's and my skull's foggy eyes. I feel like I have drained all the juice from the local fruit. As nice as it is sometimes, I am weary of these same ole scenes.

It's time to see what's on the other side of the fence. I will report on my findings forthwith.

Peace, Love, and Go Time.
Jim

Announcement #4 How to Follow Palomino Dream

Waning Crescent Moon

Go to the web version of Palomino Dream <https://palominodream.blogspot.com> and look at the right sidebar. You will see where "Followers" are listed. Click on the box that says "Follow" and follow the directions. They are as simple as entering your email address. Then you're good to go. You will be notified whenever a new post comes along. Easy peasy!

Note: this is easier to do on a laptop or PC than a phone. If you are using your smartphone, you get a reduced version of the blog. Looking at the blog on your phone, scroll down to the bottom and click on View Web Version. Then you will see the whole shebang, including the right sidebar, which is what you need to make the change.
